Come and join us on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Historic Locust Street Park and the streets of downtown Columbia. More than 20,000 people attend this beautiful outdoor show offering something for everyone. The event features unique artwork, crafters, specialty jewelry, handcrafted furniture, antiques and collectibles. Non-profit food vendors provide a tasteful selection of food.
The show runs from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm; rain or shine. Free parking is available throughout the town and shuttle service is available as well at Glatfelter Field along Route 462. This show is sponsored by the Susquehanna Valley Visitors Center at 445 Linden Street in Columbia. All proceeds are used to operate the Susquehanna Valley Visitors Center.

10 - 03 - 2009     21st Annual Bridge Bust
The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center will host its 21st Annual Bridge Bust on Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Ove 300 antiques, art, craft and food vendors will participate in this unique & popular event across the historic Route 462 Veteran’s Memorial Bridge connecting Columbia and Wrightsville joining Lancaster & York County.
Free parking and shuttle service will be available throughout the day from Glatfelter Field on Route 462 at 13th Street in Columbia and at Eastern High School off of Cool Creek Road in Wrightsville. “Busters” can enter from either side of the Route 462 Veteran’s Memorial Bridge. Admission is $2.00 for adults, children under 13 are free. Proceeds from this event are also used to operate Susquehanna Valley Visitors Center at 445 Linden Street in Columbia.

2009 Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Expo & Job Fair

The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center will be sponsoring a Business Expo on Wednesday,October 2, 2009 from 5pm till 8pm. The Expo is open to the public; it will showcase local businesses, food fun and more! The Expo will be held at Park Elementary School North Sixth Street in Columbia.

10 - 11 - 2009     Haldeman Mansion Fall Fest
Our Annual Fall Fest, this years theme is apples. There will be live music, apple dessert contest, a silent auction, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, apple desserts, etc. There will also be hearth cooking and other demonstrations.

11 - 07 - 2009     First Annual Fall 5K Flash
The 1st Annual Fall 5K Flash Run will be held on Saturday November 7, 2009 at 8:30 am. This is the first year for this event and will be a little chillier than our May run.
This unique course which will be the same as the course we use for our May run begins in Wrightsville and proceeds across the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge (Route 462) overlooking the scenic Susquehanna River. The road is closed to traffic.
Awards will be given to the top three winners in various age categories with some cash prizes. Door prizes will also be awarded randomly. The first 250 runners will receive a runners t-shirt. All timing and award placement will be done by Ron Horn of Pretzel City Sports

The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce will be holding the Second Annual “Stroll Down Memory Lane benefit gala on Friday November 20, 2009 from 7pm till 10pm at Perfect Settings 200 Locust Street Columbia, Pa. Join us for music from 50’s and get ready to “ Go to the Hop”, wine, beer, food
and a large dessert bar. There will also be dance demonstrations of the 1950’s most popular dances and more!
